Food safety
Our quality:
At Remkes The Poultry Family, food safety is not only central to our procedures but also to our daily way of working. A strong food safety culture begins with our people, with shared values and a sense of responsibility. For us, this means that all our employees are aware of the risks, know what is expected of them, and actively contribute to ensuring safe products. Open communication and training are essential in this. At Remkes, we encourage reporting of (potential) risks and continuously improving our processes. Food safety is an ongoing process of collaboration so that our customers can always rely on safe and reliable products.
Noviplus
Collaboration with established partners is our way to reduce costs in the production chain and generate maximum value for suppliers, customers, and end consumers. From this perspective, a partnership has been established with Novi-Pluim, an organization of poultry farmers and carefully selected loading and transport companies. This collaboration led to the creation of our own sustainability label in 2015: NoviPlus. With this, Novi-Pluim realizes added value for certified breeders.
Sustainable energy
By applying sustainable energy technologies, we have managed to significantly reduce our CO2 emissions, including through the use of our 1100 solar panels on the roof of our production facility in Epe. Sustainability is one of the key points in our policy.
noblesse proteins
Initiative of several poultry slaughterhouses
Noblesse Proteins is an autonomous company and an initiative of several leading poultry slaughterhouses in the Netherlands, including Remkes The Poultry Family. The proteins and fats are used worldwide by producers as fundamental ingredients in, for example, animal feed and fertilizers. Only slaughter by-products from chickens approved for human consumption from closed poultry chains are used as raw materials.
BREEAM SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION
Remkes Food Products and Remkes Coldstore are built according to the BREEAM Outstanding certification, the highest rating within the BREEAM system. This indicates that these facilities perform excellently in areas such as energy consumption, waste management, and material use.
